Michael Mick P. Mills has practiced law in Tennessee since 1983. Born in Tullahoma and growing up near Chattanooga, this is home. After four years at the University of Virginia, Mick came back to Vanderbilt University Law School with the intention of staying in Tennessee. With well over one hundred jury trials tried throughout the state, he brings experience and innovation to every lawsuit.
After being a partner in a larger downtown Nashville law firm for several years, he missed the collegial atmosphere of a smaller practice. Mick and Michele Cooper founded Mills & Cooper in 1997 and moved the practice to the suburbs in 1998. Since then they have maintained the personal touch in their cases that has lead to a successful and diverse practice. He helped found the Tennessee Chapter of the National Society of Professional Insurance Investigators, served a term as President, and has lectured on a variety of legal topics in and outside of Tennessee. He pursues an active litigation practice in state and federal court, dealing with civil rights, education, arson and fraud, personal injury and property damage.
Mick has four wonderfiul children, is an avid bicyclist, and is an incurable collector of books.
